it was amazing

An absolute shining example of the magic one can do with words. Capote's debut novel blows away, for me, any of his later works- In Cold Blood included. Read this when you're in a very still place so you can absolutely enter the technicolor and labyrinthian wilds of Capote's New Orleans coming of age.
