I was amazed at how much Darwin simply wanted to believe in the evolutionary process. He discounted creationism because of its lack of proof when he admitted on several occassions that he lacked proof of his theory as well. To Darwin, similar can be defined as used to be alike, and creationism is somehow incompatible with immigration. Sure change occurs as his really neat experiments that he notes show, but there is no proof of a change in species.
