Sookie Stackhouse is back again in another vampire-filled adventure. This time Sookie and her vampire-boyfriend Bill travel to Dallas on official vampire business. One of the Dallas nest has gone missing, and Sookie is employed to find out what happened to him by reading the minds of club workers. Throw in a crazy maenad (but really, is there any other kind?), a frighteningly zealous religious sect bound and determined to wipe out the vampire race, and a dead man found in Detective Andy Bellefleur's police cxar, and you've got a mad story. Sookie sure gets into a lot of scrapes, but I think that is part of the reason why these books are so much fun.
