Dean Koontz is an addictive novelist and this novel was no different for me. A page turner about a likeable novelist who gets a bad review and ends up being tracked by a psycho book reviewer. There is much to laugh about in this hyperdrive screed on literature and the nature of modernism. Plus there is an adorable kid, a very clever dog and a host of odd characters. It's a thriller with some truly scary bits, a truly original bad guy and some intriguing observations about life, society and literature.
