Overly plotted and romanticized holocaust story. A Polish- Jewish grandmother, with the unlikely nickname of Gemma, tells the story of Briar Rose (a la Grimm) and claims to be the sleeping princess. It turns out that the outline of the story happened to her in a horrible way at a Polish concentration camp. Her youngest granddaughter goes to Poland to trace the story and meets some cinematically romantic characters. Unconvincing and irritating.
