High school brings many things, including the desire to be popular. These students are no different. A club of 4 girls (one from each class) not only rule the school, but place a spell on everyone around them. When the desire to be popular gets in the way of real friendships and moral dilemma, Jane (narrator) has to question if being one of the four most popular girls in school is worth it.

This book is funny and shows what and who people are willing to sacrifice in order to fit in. The difference in this school is the spell these girls put on people really is a spell that has to do with a crazy number of cats and a very strange humanities teacher.

Students who are dealing with social identity issues and finding friends would be able to relate to this book. I liked it.
