Seems like a good set-up for better work later to come. Some of the first few stories felt too gimmicky and episodic without enough intrique/backstory, but about halfway through this volume, the story picked up quite a bit. Interesting concepts (that creatures and beings from other Earths visit but are kept undocumented, and that the central characters are set on "mapping" these encounters). I found the characters more intriguing than I did the overall plot/concept.
