Vampires and Werewolves. I'm already rolling my eyes. But I'm definitely giving Naifeh some credit, its not your typical vampire/werewolf story. And the dark humor continues a bit, theres more backstory with the uncle, and even gypsies. Granted I apparently may have missed volumes 2 & 3 before reading this one, its still easy enough to follow. These books are very quick reads, not sure if they are worth buying but I'm already sucked into the plot. This one I thankfully read in the bookstore, I didn't care for it as much as the first one. I would have liked to see more unusual characters, more of that dark humor, and more character development.

It took me A WHILE to figure this out, but this volume contains both The Fire-Thief's Tale and the Prince of Nowhere.
