** spoiler alert ** I bought this book a while ago-the synopsis was intriguing. I found Alys (infuriating way to spell her name) to be one of the most easily swayed, yet still trying to appear strong, characters I've ever read. I can't say that it annoyed me or not-her strenghts and weaknesses were well written as well as that of Catherine, Hugo and Morach (another infuriating name). Aside of the maddening spelling and names I guess I liked the book well enough. I could've skipped a lot of the needless detail and finished about 100 pages faster.
My favorite PG? Nope but it didn't suck either.
I loved the bit about the little wax people and how they haunted her and how her love (or infatuation with Hugo and her own power) tormented her though...
