This book is about a swan named Louie who doesn't have a voice when he was born. He can't express his feelings and thoughts. One day, his father went to a music store and stole a trumpet to help Louie express himself. After this, his father started to hve nightmares on how he's being chase after by polices and the boss of the music store. Louie decided to help his father get back his honor through the help of a boy named Sam. Sam helped him by teaching him how to read and write in school. Louie used what he learned to express himself. Sam told Louie to go to Boston and earn money by playing the trumpet to help his father pay back for the stolen trumpet. Louie became a popular swan in Boston and he had a lot of fans. Through Louie's journey, he also fell in love with Serena(swan) and they married at last.
I like how the author gave Louie the swan some human characteristics by giving Louie the ability to play the trumpet, read, write, and communicate with humans. It was a cute and good book.
