Myra Lipinski - 51 year old spinster nurse - meets up with Chip Reardon, the golden boy she adored in high school He has a brain tumor and comes home to his hometown to die. She is his home health care nurse. They fall in love and it is a touching story of their relationship. He takes his own life so that he can die on his own terms. She decides to help him and then take her own life. She does help him, but backs out of her own suicide as she decides she is stronger and better.
