it was amazing
bookshelves: read-in-2008, adult-fiction
Read in July, 1996

I first read this for a Literary Themes: Transformation class taught by Susan Mitchell (author of Erotikon). I'm afraid I've reread it several times rather than reading more Woolf. Gorgeous language--I love the image of Orlando lying under the tree, pressing his spine against the bony roots. Reread in 2008.

Meredith Have you seen the movie? It's also lovely :)

Amanda Coppedge A long time ago. I liked it okay from what I remember. May have been one of those things where I love the book so much, the movie just couldn't hold a candle.
