As with the first two books in the Nick Stone series, Firewall is a good espionage thriller. McNab has a tight approach to plot, and there is an intelligence and odd humour that pervades his writing. he is somewhat politically incorrect, which is refreshing. His writing is generally saturated with profanity, but this seems to be in context. On the negative side, McNab has an over-graphic approach to violence, which at times seems to be unneccessary. Perhaps a more valid criticism is that McNab seems overly obsessed with inundating the reader with procedural detail and technique. This book lags the first two a little, but if you enjoyed them, it's definitely worth a read. A last suggestion, while these books can be read out of sequence, it's better to follow the sequence.
