really liked it
bookshelves: darkish, mystery

A PhD student gotta love a book where a character introduces himself as "a Doctor of Philosophy, specialising in useless information, with a particular interest in things a normal person would never consider."

This book pretty much has it all: Welsh folklore, Rosicrucians, strange things happening during night, mysterious people, crime-solving - and lots of subtle humour commenting on the academic world. If it hadn't made me laugh I probably wouldn't have liked it that much, as I was left missing a bit more depth, but now this really is a marvellous book.
