it was amazing

This is one of my all time favorite books. You do wade through pages of Rand's rants, but the actual story is great...and it's been interesting to see how the world has nurtured planned obsolesence. I read this book back in the 70's and again in the 80's, and loved it just as much. I guess when she wrote it it would have been hard to imagine everybody and their mother's brother being on line...but she definitely could see where the world was going in terms of no one being able to do a task from start to finish anymore, the lack and loss of craftsmanship....and a sniveling, corupt, money grubbing hierarchy. Even back then when I first read it, I thought it was a great idea to start a society with the people who are the best in their field....Who is John Galt anyway?
