Alphabet City is a Caldecott winner and rightfully so. While bereft of words, this book shows how letters are everywhere, especially in the city. With its amazingly realistic artwork, kids can play an I Spy game on every page, looking for the shapes of letters in everyday objects. A beautiful idea, well executed.

Abby I use this every year with my K kids. We read a page at a time as we learn a letter. One of my favorite.

Veronica :) That is great! I bet it is very memorable for them. I want to get my hands on A is for Art: An Abstract Alphabet (by the same author.)
