This book takes a look at how scientists use forensic anthropology to get clues about how people used to live. Specifically it tells about an archeological dig in the Chesapeake Bay area, where the first permanent colonists settlement was located in Jamestown. The kids ate this one up. All I had to say was "Do any of you watch CSI or the television show Bones?" and they were hooked. In one example, scientists dug up the grave of a young boy and they figure out his age, when he died, how he died, and his name - all from his bones!
