it was amazing
bookshelves: 20th-century, brit-lit

Really enjoyed this. Once I got about 50-60 pages in, I had a hard time putting it down. Reminds me a bit of Graham Greene with a darker, more melancholy edge. While I pretty much knew how this was going to end, the build-up was great and there's a definite visceral punch at the end.
