I was really surprised by this because I was expecting a twilight clone and it's completely different. It's actually a credible sci-fi story playing about with some fascinating ideas. I love the fact that its an invasion of the body snatchers tale where the aliens aren't inherantly evil.

There's a great cast of characters and I was totally drawn in to the story. I found the love triangle element a little twee - a nice cop out for a girl caught between two gorgeous men - lets have the host in love with one and the parasite in love with the other, but even so I was caught up enough in the emotion to want this to have a happy ending.

At 600+ pages its quite a tome that never gets boring. Really nice to have a sci-fi novel out there for chicks. Not bad at all!
