It took me a little while to get into this book. Perry is an engaging writer who tells stories that are interesting, funny, sad, poignant, but I was a bit thrown off by the lack of cohesiveness. He alternates between tales of his childhood growing up on a farm and his current efforts to incorporate farming into a busy life with wife and children. The back-and-forth seemed kind of aimless and random at first, but eventually it all comes together as Perry strives to find balance in his life.
