Young Republican Leo has just lost his full scholarship to Harvard because of a vindictive vice principal. To make matters worse, he has just discovered that his biological father is King Maggot - the lead singer of an 80s punk band. In addition, his best friend since childhood, Melinda, is ignoring him and he doesn't know why. In search of the money to attend college, Leo joins the reunion tour of King Maggot's band and learns a lot about himself during a long, unusual summer.
This was great! Comedy, drama, life lessons, self discovery - plus an easy read for reluctant high school readers.
