Baruch Spinoza, and before him Rabbi Hillel, both argued the Torah's one consistent message was the Golden Rule. Bullshit. That is a load of bullshit. The Torah is a snuff movie. The Torah is a book about a tribe of semites who massacre other tribes of semites in the name of their g-d. And they have a list of 613 rules to follow to help them carry out their blood-lust. Mostly these laws prevent the Hebrews from mixing with the other semites.

Consider the iconic parable of Abraham and Isaac. You hear priests, ministers, run of the mill religious types all touting the element of faith in Abraham. He loved the Lord so much he was willing to murder his child. But it's not about love. It's about killing Canaanites. Or the Seleucids or the Palestinians. If Abraham is willing to murder his only FREAKING SON, do you think he'll hesitate even a second to murder godless subhuman OUTSIDERS in the name of Israel? No.

In conclusion the Torah is revisionist propaganda, with very little to do in the way of love.
