it was amazing

As the author of Beautifulif..., I take this book as a quick read with a much needed – pause, be quiet, and think response.

Beautifulif..., pronounced "Beautiful" "if" - was written to convey a concept. A conceptual, directly spiritual look at women - from all walks of life – emerging. Women emerging from many of the well known dire straights that have been renown strongholds. Loosely based off personal experiences, it reflects common characters that women often portray and/or hide behind. Being a very direct person, I feel you can't be cradled when it comes to dealing with certain issues that come across in life. Therefore I did not cradle them when coming direct in Beautifulif.... As a reviewer (as a woman with her own set of issues) not the author of Beautifulif..., I personally feel, the book itself is something that you have to have a willing and open mind to read. I say this because people tend to shelter their "if...s" (their issues) with the ever-so common statement, "Don't judge me." With Beautifulif... you have to be willing to be truthful with self to accept which characters complete your set of "if...s" - as it becomes your story. Through the characters housed in Beautifulif... my question throughout proves simple, "Dear Beautiful, Are you willing to face you, as the judge of "you"? Spiritually, will you be ready when the true judgment is rendered?" - which is why I wrote the DISCLAIMER.

For self, I read it as a re-evaluation and reality check - a continuous challenge to work on me. It is my constant prayer that I emerge above the characters I have met in this book on so many occasions; characters that I have met by simply looking in the mirror. From a reviewer’s perspective, from this book I’ve learned to strive in my daily walk to become the woman that God initially sent me out to be, as in the concept, "Beautiful in All-Ways."
