really liked it
bookshelves: church-books, non-fiction

This is a two-hour seminar on CD. It was fascinating and very well done. It's really just a brief history of Islam and a bit about the current political situation in the Middle East. It's an "LDS Perspective" because Peterson is a BYU professor and a few of his asides assume the listener is LDS, but it's certainly not a requirement to get a lot out of this book. Highly recommended. Oh, also, Peterson is a great speaker. Listening to this lecture made me miss college.
