Dipped in and out. It's that kind of book. Hard farming in Maine (how hard can it be? He's a successful writer for the New Yorker), home-spun wisdom, wry humor, some elegant essays. Definitely a lifetime ago, without cable TV, and where most cars mostly won't start on most cold mornings.
