I thought it was an interesting book. It was, as you might expect, depressing. It definitely made me want to read The Grapes of Wrath and watch The Plow that Broke the Plains. I would have liked a little more on how the area is doing today.

I thought the book was well written but at the same time I didn't feel like it truly captured the horror of living in the worst part of the Dust Bowl.
