really liked it
bookshelves: 09-books

This book made the 08 Booker prize list. It is a pleasure to read;it flows smoothly and carries you along without much effort on your part. I had difficulty figuring out what the author was getting at: the different ways immigrants cope in their adopted land? The need to know about one's roots? Racism (anti-semitism) being revived again and again in different places and times? How clothes can define us? All of the aove, probably.
