In The Unlikely Disciple: A Sinner’s Semester at America’s Holiest University, a student at Brown University infiltrates Liberty University, which was founded by Jerry Falwell. I picked this up because of the local interest (I live pretty close to Lynchburg). The book sites a statistic about 40% of Americans not knowing an evangelical Christian, and I thought, “Seriously? Sometimes I think I don’t know anyone other than evangelical Christians.” I suppose evangelical Christians are “another America”, but the book don’t break any new ground for me.
