If you like stories that a little off-beat, then this is the book for you--"Heck: Where the Bad Kids go" by Dale E. Basye. In it, good kid Milton Fauster and his petty thief of a sister, Marlo are killed in a freak marshmallow explosion. Subsequently, they go to Heck, a kind of limbo where bad kids go before descending into one of the nine layers of hell, it is an awful place, full of demons, teachers like Lizzie Borden and Nixon, a giant purple dinosaur that sings, and liver and other gross stuff to eat all designed to torment the kids forever, or until they turn 18, whichever comes first. Milton and his sister decide to escape and in order to do so Milton and his new friend Virgil must descend into the sewer system through which all the sewage from earth runs. Not once, but twice. It's grossly funny and to find out if Milton's crawl through crud is worth, read "Heck: Where the bad kids go."

2nd one comes out in July 2009.
