This book used an interesting ploy: a blog about the love lives of a group of upper class Saudi girls. The marketing slogan painting the book as a Saudi Sex and the City was certainly misleading: American readers might expect a novel full of expensive clothes, designer shoes and gratuitous sex. Not the way it works in Saudi Arabia. I found it a fascinating look into the cultural and religious traditions of a world I know little about.
