Stephanie Plum and her gang are back for another round of murder, mystery, mayhem and mischief. Stephanie is on the trail of a man who embezzled money from a retirement home, but on her way she gets saddled with a Tiki statue, takes a side job providing security for her mentor - the ubersexy Ranger - and manages to get two or three cars blown up. Like Evanovich's other novels in this series, "Notorious Nineteen" is a fun, shallow read, but the character development is astonishingly deep. Each of Evanovich's band of merry troublemakers continues to grow as the series goes on and it's interesting to watch the arcs develop.
