bookshelves: high-fantasy

Solid ending to the initial trilogy, with Croaker and the Black Company dealing with ethical issues that mostly stayed in the background before. Spare prose and unspoken issues are sometimes weak points in Cook's writing, but they're the strong point of this novel, which is unusually satisfying.
