did not like it
bookshelves: fic-not-worth-categorizing

This book was sent to me by a family member and so I opened it. Immediately it became evident that the author was trying way too hard to create a false atmosphere where he would be pitied and heralded as a hero for actions which were not only unbelievable but left this reader wondering why anyone would even bother to make them up.

I wasn't having it.

Later I find out that my theories were dead-on and that this hack made up a fanciful and boring story, called it his own truth, and got another hack named Oprah to celebrate his bullshit on her TV show.

This guy, had he not lied about the authenticity of the terrible story, might still only have been on par with another terrible author named John Grogan. Neither can get enough of himself, they each think they're God's gift to everyone, and both will go down in shame as some of this century's worst writers.
