really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, horror

A vampire story set on a riverboat in the 1800s on the Mississippi, it's definitely a fun read. It lacks the scope and imagination of Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series, but it's got his same complex, morally ambiguous characters, and for readers who want a new twist on the vampire story, well worth the time.
