liked it
bookshelves: light-mystery

I liked this first of a series cozy mystery for the most part. the reason it didn't score higher was that I really did not feel that the Sheriff was developed very well and was quite unbelievable in her ineptitude. The sisters relationship was good as it progressed but I could see them becoming irritating if they don't resolve some things between them.

It is a first in a series and I hope to see some of the minor charcters develop furthe (Ginny, Mr. Everett and Russ the journalist - maybe even the receptionist at the Commerce - the one in the Hawaiian shirts). I will read more and see if I like the direction the series takes.

BTW, I read cozy mysteries as my in-between reads (in-between my denser fiction and non-fiction reading). I think I am starting to expect more from my in-between reads the more I read other general fiction.
