This is the only Rushdie book that I dislike. It's experimental in form, in a way that just doesn't work for me. Fury does have a few good lines, such as "Thou shalt not 'just not give a damn'" and "Who dost thou think thou art? Donald Trump? The Dalai Lama?" The whole thing isn't in Elizabethan language, no worries.
