it was amazing

I absolutely loved the book. I love how the characters all interact together, and how the author emphasizes culture differences, languages, and how people can still live together despite such vast differences. I love how no one can communicate if not for Gen, and how Gen, who's job is to be a shadow for Hosokawa (he's a translator), is suddenly the most important person, who, without, nothing would be communicated. I also love the relationships between the hostages and the terrorists, how so many of the terrorists would have had such promising futures, if not for their position. I absolutely hate the ending, but there was absolutely no other way to end it. Simon is absolutely adorable, and I adore his adoration of his wife.
