Chloe and Alex live in London and life is good - until they go out for dinner one night. Although Alex denies knowing Chloe's colleague's date for the evening (Julia), it is obvious to all four that there is indeed a connection and whatever it is will transform their lives in some way.

Immediately Alex's behaviour changes and Chloe is left reeling as her husband struggles to cope with a mysterious past event that has left him shell shocked. She too is struggling with a secret that was always going to be difficult to share with Alex, but is now seemingly impossible.

Bit by bit Alex and Julia's past is revealed and you come to understand why both of them are still struggling to cope with what happened to them while on holiday in Australia several years before.

Alex's biggest problem is guilt - it just won't leave him and is the driving force behind an impromptu trip back to Australia to try and make amends. Chloe, meanwhile is buckling under the strain of Alex's disappearance and other family issues. She is left wondering how everything fell apart so rapidly.

Exploring the issues of trauma and it's aftermath, Come Back To Me is
well written and masterfully suspenseful. It drew me in immediately and kept me wondering right throughout.
