This was just a fun book to read. My wife and I have always loved to travel and the idea of going somewhere very remote from the rest of the world. Troost’s account of he and his fiance’s adventures in Kiribati provide a humorous and sometimes tragic story that would not be something I would like to experience. While this book tended to get repetitive at times and some of the stories were longer than needed, it was a great read and if anything increased my appetite for world travel and for a life “outside of the normal.”
