Without Deep Work we couldn't achieve our most important work and wouldn't reach our potential- that's the premise of this book. Newport provides a great insight into the research that supports this thesis. With several examples from writers, researchers, and other well-known public figures, we come to understand the importance of concentration or deep work.

Unfortunately, due to our era of technology, email, the internet, and social media, we have become accustomed to being in a state of perpetual distraction or the so bad called multi-tasking. This takes away time from the important work, that we can only do when we are 100% focused on the task at hand. Newport provides tips and suggestions on how to understand what is really important at work and how we can invest more time in deep work.

Even if you don't have traditional work at an office, I believe these principles are also valid for students, anybody who wants to learn a new skill, researchers, writers, and many others.
Definitely recommended.
