really liked it

I was a bit disappointed in this book -- I adore the movie, and thought I would also adore the book. As I did, until I got to the last part -- the section from Lily's point of view. I had understood her as a wise, exuberant, aging woman: making the transition gradually & ungracefully to cronedom. I won't spoil it for anyone else, except to say that my perception of her was all wrong. You'll have to read the book to find out why.
