really liked it

This book was very disturbing in the beginning because it seems so plausible, simply pushing certain trends (rush to the suburbs, genetic engineering, overpopulation, reality television, corporate control, etc) to the extreme. Of course, as the story progresses and more details are filled in, some of this realism is stolen away by fantastic plot devices, but overall it was an interesting apocalyptic read. I was slightly disatisfied with the ending, but I think that was intended.
