*I recieved a copy of Locked In Torture in exchange for a honest review.

Would it be weird if I said I've wanted to read a romance novel that involved "femdom"? I hope not because its the truth. There are so many books out there with the man being the dominator and he balks when his heroine hints at taking charge. I wanted to read a story where she is in the dominate position. Author Kayla Stonor was able to weave a convincing BDSM/femdom storyline with a hint of suspense and a HEA.

In the story, we meet Jenna (FBI agent) and Ryan (Z-9 with British Intelligence). They have a previous meeting that takes place roughly 4 months before the book starts where her cover is blown and Ryan gets her sent home. To enact revenge, Jenna contacts her old school friend and whisks Ryan away to a pleasure island, of sorts, where she asserts her dominance over him. Seems like a simple enough plot, right? Nope! Ms. Stonor reveals the truth behind Jenna's actions and it steers the plot to a different direction.

I have to admit that the book and I got off to a rough start at the beginning. I tried to start it one night and it just was not happening. I think I missed something in the first chapter and nothing was clicking. So I set it aside and gave the book another shot a couple days later and I could not put it down. I didn't read the first 2 books in the series, so I don't know how this one compares, but I really liked the story. It had a strong, fast pacing plot. The femdom aspect was a bit painful to read (poor Ryan), but I was relieved when Jenna had a difficult time inflicting pain to him. Read the book and you know why she had to do what she did. My only regret with Locked In Torture is that I wished Jenna and Ryan had sex. Wow, did that sound weird or what? Yes, there is penetration, but there was no emotion. I would have loved to have seen Jenna and Ryan come together (no pun intended) emotionally.

Crystal The last time I talked to her, Kayla told me that she had to pull her books off Amazon because she was getting too many refunds. I still have her email address. I can send her a message and ask if her book is available anywhere. Let me know. :)

Crystal Sorry Dora. I accidently deleted me previous reply. WHOOPS! I'll send her an email for you.

I don't know why she was getting so many complaints and refunds. I really enjoyed the book and was hoping to continue with her other books.
