This is the touching story of a boy named Sam who has leukemia. The story is his own - an autobiographical documentation of his hopes, his dreams, his wishes, his questions, and his interactions with his family and his best friend Felix, who also has cancer. At first, I didn't love the format, but it grew on me, and by the end, you really felt a kinship with the main character. He is a positive young boy facing such a tough diagnosis. It is nice to see his closeness with his family (nothing too dysfunctional) and the respect he has for his teacher and his grandmother. Just a sweet, touching story.
