did not like it

Martin makes Stephen R. Donaldson look absolutely cheerful. I've read them all the Song except the most recent just because I'm a morbid person. I find nothing of merit in them beyond "Life sucks and then you die." I got that, already.

Thanks for this review Rob (seriously), I have this one on my "to be read someday" list, but I think I'll wait till a summer vacation when I'm sipping on a cold drink in the sun, don't know if I can handle anything much darker than P. G. Wodehouse or Terry Pratchett at the moment.
There are times I'm in a morbid mood myself, but this ain't the time...
