it was amazing

Absolutely splendid. I had never read McDermid before, but I will make a point to seek out more of her work. In this novel, her use of flashbacks and flashforwards, always carefully noted by date and location, amplify the plot threads and build the characters. My only objection is to what I assume are edits for an American audience: cookies not biscuits, parking lot not car park, that sort of thing.

Don't miss this one.
