it was amazing

** spoiler alert ** I didn't think I would love this book as much as I did "These is My Words", but I did. I did know for awhile that it was Ruldolfo that was trying to run her off her land, and trying to get her to marry him. I also thought that Lazarus was going to be Sargent Lockwood in disguise. I couldn't tell (until the end) if he was a bad mad, or just crazy. All and all it was a great sequel.

Camille I thought the same thing about Lockwood.

Val Me too! I was kind of disappointed we didn't find out. But his ending was WEIRD!

message 3: by Lorrie (new)

Lorrie Kneebone I also think Lazarus was Lockwood because he acted like he'd known her for a long time and had been in love with her since then. He killed his wife, and refers to having killed other people at the end of the book. He implied that she would be able to recognize him if he ever cleaned himself up. But then things got so confusing at the end when it sounds like he killed Esther and her husband, so that was all really weird.
