Child of the Prophecy (Sevenwaters, #3)
I liked this book better than the second of the trilogy, but not as well as the first. Each of the books has a central strong femail character that must overcome all odds and evil to save the day. These are my first experience with fantasy, but two and three bothered me a little, because they seems to stray from the time and place in the setting. The third books takes forever to build up to the climatic moment when the antogonist almost wins, and then abruptly sells out to a corny ending. I believe Ms. Marillier uses actual legends to base her stories in, and this does make for interesting reading in spots throughout the novels.
