it was amazing

If you like books about the behind-the-scenes work of the art department on a film, this book (from Weta) is a great one! Full of photos and illustrations, it tells the story of what went into the making of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" from the art department's perspective.

Of special note are the full-size replica of Thorin's map and the almost-full-size replica of the contract Bilbo signed. As a wanna-be artist myself, I've been enjoying trying to sketch the artwork in the book (with varying results).
