Yet another of McEwans poignant well written novels dealing with the uncomfortable and awkward aspects of love. This particular book finds two newly wed virgins on their honeymoon only to see their brief union destroyed by the angst associted with losing their virginity. Wonderfully written and surprisingly powerful for so short a book (200 pages).
